Odyssey Mini Gels are polyacrylamide gels designed to separate a wide range of protein sizes via PAGE or SDS-PAGE. Each box contains 10 pre-cast gels. Our gels feature larger well volumes for easier sample loading and are cast in a neutral pH buffer to increase gel stability. They also run at neutral pH, which minimizes protein modification compared to Tris-glycine gels. Odyssey Mini Gels are available in several gradients with 10, 12, or 15 numbered wells. Our gels feature a shelf life of up to 6 months at room temperature and 12 months at 2–8C.

One-Step Lumitein™ Protein Gel Stain is a ready-to-use luminescent red protein gel stain. It is a dramatically improved version of our original Lumitein™ protein gel stain for convenience and safety. One-Step Lumitein™ gel staining requires only a single 5-60 minute staining step without fixation. Destaining is optional. RuBPS is a negatively-charged water-soluble luminescent ruthenium complex that can be efficiently excited by either UV or visible light in the wavelength range from 400-500 nm, with bright red emission centered around 605 nm. Ruthenium complexes such as RuBPS typically have luminescence lifetimes in the micro-second range and a Stokes shift over 100 nm. By using time-resolved luminescence measurement, the combination of long luminescent lifetime and large Stokes shift offers the possibility for extremely sensitive detection that could approach the sensitivity of radioactive detection.
